  • Christian Education


    The Christian Education Team facilitates, coordinates and leads Christian educational opportunities for all ages.


    Programs include monthly youth group for middle school and high school, 

    Wonderful Wednesdays:  weekly after school Christian education for K -5th grade, Vacation Bible School: 4 years - 5th grade, Worship our Way: Pre-k - 5th grade Sunday mornings during the worship hour


    For adults: Monthly book club, weekly Bible Study, Presbyterian Women's Circle.

  • Service and Outreach

    The Service and Outreach Team is responsible for ministries of compassion beyond our four walls as we strive to serve Christ in the world. It is also responsible for the ongoing mission of the church to spread the Good News of the Gospel of Christ by encouraging members to actively share their faith in Christ with others so that they may know the love and grace of God in him. Duties include local, national and global missions, evangelism and community relations, social witness and creation care, and service trips.

  • Worship and Celebration

    This team connects the congregation with ways to serve during worship, This team is charged with preparing the sanctuary for worship and other events, decorating the church for Lent, Easter, Advent and Christmas, operating audio and video equipment for worship and special events, and coordinating with the staff for important moments like weddings and funerals.  The worship and celebration team engages pastors to fill the pulpit when the Minister is not available.  This team plays a special role in welcoming everyone who walks through the doors of the church, and inviting members to become more engaged with ministry projects.

  • Ministry of Music


    Sinking Spring’s Music Ministry has long been a hallmark of our church’s program!


    Weekly, our chancel and handbell choirs provide quality music integral to the splendor of Sinking Spring’s service of worship.


    Additionally, the Sinking Spring sanctuary hosts monthly community-wide concerts welcoming hundreds from the Southwest Virginia region.

    You are invited to attend our Sunday 11 AM service to enjoy inspirational music designed to glorify God.

  • 250th Anniversary

    Task Force

    Founded in 1772, Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church celebrates its 250th Anniversary this year.  The task force will be offering many ways to celebrate and learn during the anniversary year, from displays in the narthex, to fellowship events, community involvement and service projects. Check the event calendar on this website for 250th Anniversary activities, or contact the church for information on how to get involved.
