The primary work of the congregation is carried out in Ministry Teams. These teams are formed around particular ministry purposes that reflect the mission and calling of the congregation. Ministry Teams meet regularly to discern together what ministries God is calling us to, and to dream and be creative about how to carry out God’s mission as a congregation. Ideally, individuals serve in areas which reflect their spiritual Gifts, passion, and calling from God. Ministry Teams should function as small communities of care and compassion, in addition to carrying out specific ministries. “How” something is accomplished should always take precedence over “what” is accomplished, and teams should always focus on “being” the church together before “doing” church together. One need not be a member of the congregation to serve on a Ministry Team.
